The Philippine Frontier Mission’s new missionaries 2006

MARY  ROSE

        Hi!

I’m Mary Rose Fiecas Fabrero from Concepcion, Romblon. I’m 26 now and it changes every fifteenth day of October. I’m single, and holding a license of a professional secondary teacher.

God had appointed that by the first Sabbath of January, 2003,I could hear about Philippine Frontier Missions. It happened in Carmona Seventh-day Adventist Church where I was attending Sabbath. Some of the PFM staff conducted a day of promotional program in the church.I learned about their ministry in full. I was thankful for such ministry among tribal people. I was not aware then, that my church was reaching those people.

That day, I was touched. I felt the calling. PFM offered literacy program and I knew I could help. It was my dilemma! I was then teaching in Las Piñas East National High School in Las Piñas City. The thought of resigning was very disappointing. It was hard for me to say to my family, "God will provide for your needs!"

One day, when I was alone in the faculty room, the thought “What am I doing here?” bothered me. I wanted to be a PFM missionary. But there were three closed doors. I prayed to God to open all three. It took me about three months. Praise God! He opened the way. Joining the Philippine Frontier Missions was the most fulfilling to me.

I am enjoying the work right now. There are many struggles but it is comforting to know that I am working for God’s mission full-time. Many “teachers” are working for the world’s kingdom. Only “few” is building for God’s. I want to be with the “few” that is the most demanded for heaven’s kingdom.

Let us keep the journey of hope! God bless you!
